Head coach Kyle Shanahan canceled the mandatory minicamp scheduled for June 9-10, rewarding the roster for 100 percent attendance during the voluntary OTA week. The decision also fit a grueling travel slate that will see the 49ers fly more than 38,000 miles in 2026, including a Week 1 game against the Rams in Australia and a Week 11 game against the Vikings in Mexico. The final OTA session on June 4 became the last team work before training camp opens July 23 in Santa Clara.
Bleacher ReportArticle
The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office issued an arrest warrant June 3 for receiver Brandon Aiyuk on a misdemeanor exhibition of speeding charge, the Associated Press reported. The warrant stemmed from a social media video Aiyuk posted in December that appeared to show him speeding on the road in front of Levi's Stadium. Aiyuk sits on the reserve/left squad list after stopping team activities late last season, GM John Lynch has said he does not expect Aiyuk to play for the 49ers again, and the team voided $27 million in guarantees from his four-year, $120 million extension.

Buccaneers receiver Chris Godwin told ESPN's Jenna Laine on June 2 that he first assumed reports of Mike Evans joining San Francisco were an AI hoax and texted Baker Mayfield to confirm. Evans left Tampa Bay after 12 seasons to sign a three-year, $42.4 million contract with the 49ers early in free agency. The addition, along with the Christian Kirk signing and the draft selection of De'Zhaun Stribling, headlines a rebuilt receiving corps in San Francisco.
